# Where to ride a bike in Dumaguete

## City and Rizal Boulevard

Ride into Dumaguete and along Rizal Boulevard, the seaside promenade. Flat and easy; good for an hour or three.

## Silliman University

The large, green campus in the city centre is a calm place to ride.

## Toward Valencia

The road inland climbs toward Valencia, a cooler town in the hills about 10 km from the city. A real climb; stony in places, which is why the bike has puncture-proof tubes.

## The coast road south

South of the city the coast road leads to beaches and dive resorts. Plan a day rental for this.

## Tips

- Ride early or late: midday is hot. Bring water.
- Lock the bike whenever you leave it; the lock is included.
- Use the phone holder for the map.
- Plan to be back in Bagacay by 21:00.
